The FiberLaboratory is part of the Forest Bioeconomy, Materials, and the Environment focus area at South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk). We are an innovative and well-networked environment for developing future bioproduct processes, implementing new ideas, solving process technology challenges, and testing industrial maintenance solutions. Our expertise lies in phenomenon-level and pilot-scale research, which is essential for creating advanced technological solutions. We develop water- and energy-saving processes, pilot new methods for water and sludge treatment, and promote extended processing of wood fiber. In addition, we offer services for industrial maintenance testing. Our service range covers everything from facility rental to full-service trial packages.
