Visilab produces portable and online moisture and water content sensors for paper and pulp and other fibre materials. Other applications are felts and textiles, food industry and animal foods. Technologies applied are microwave and infrared with advanced proprietary analysis algorithms. The new MK30LP-CT and CTB sensors are fast and have a wide range for water, 4 % to 100%. They can be bolted to the process but can be used manually to peek into spots in the process. MK30R is a portable microwave meter targeted for measuring reels and running webs but can also be used in laboratory. Our products are unique and there is no competition with similar capabilities.
Browse offersVisilab’s sensors are now well established in the industry and have been sold around the world. The current list of products is the following.
– AK30 portable infrared moisture meter, our all-time success, a paper-maker’s universal meter for QC and troubleshooting. The moisture range is 0… 70% in most fibre materials, surface moisture to 150 microns. AK30 has a profile memory for saving data and later transferring to a PC wirelessly

– MK30R portable microwave for deep moisture for reels and thick products but can measure thin webs as well. The range is 3…99 % in most fibre materials to depth of 35 mm, area diameter 40 mm. MK30 has a profile memory for saving data and later transferring to a PC wirelessly. Pressboard products can be measured even below 1 % levels.

– MK30LP a handheld microwave sensor for felts and running webs, wide moisture range, depth to 5 mm, at the end of a 2 m stick to reach difficult positions. MK30LP is used by connecting it to a power supply and PC with a cable. Delivery options have a display unit making it equal to an MK30R in usability. Analog signals are available at the end of the cable / power supply connectors. The price is very economical

– MK30LPCT water content sensor with a range of 4 … 100 % of water. Depth 3 mm area diameter 4 mm. Can be used as handheld too and is delivered with a touchpad. It is used by connecting it to a power supply and PC with a cable. Delivery options have a display unit making it equal to an MK30R in usability. Analog signals are available at the end of the cable / power supply connectors. The price is very economical

– MK30LPCTB water content sensor with a range of 4 … 100 % of water. Depth 7 mm area diameter 10 mm. Can be used as handheld too and is delivered with a touchpad. It is used by connecting it to a power supply and PC with a cable. Delivery options have a display unit making it equal to an MK30R in usability. Analog signals are available at the end of the cable / power supply connectors. The price is very economical

The portable devices have various delivery options according to user’s needs.
– AK40GW online infrared moisture meter for QC and troubleshooting. The sensing head is very small and at the end of 300 mm tubes to fit in very small spaces. The moisture range is 0… 90% in most fibre materials, surface moisture to 150 microns. The eamsuring distance is 15 mm. AK40GW has a profile memory for saving data and later transferring to a PC wirelessly. Regular use consists of acquiring data to a PC and/or supplying analog signals to DCS. The price is economical

FrontColour10(TM) online colour sensor for measuring coloured papers and plastics and other solid surfaces. It is made according to the CIE standards. It is used by connecting it to a power supply and PC with a cable. The output data consists of the full set of CIE colour variables plus more. The PC program allows full control of the system and gets all data to be displayed and archived.
Below is a list of the colour variables measured:
– primary X, Y, Z
– chromaticity coordinates x,y,z
– CIE whiteness W
– CIE Tint T
– Yellowness J
– a special Primary reflectance data R(lambda) at a preselected wavelength
– TAPPI brightness R457
– L*, a*, b*, chromaticity C
– colour differences for L*, a*, b*
– CIE v’, u*, v*
– hue H
